From 2010-2015, Barbara Gehrung acted as a Certified Passive Housing Consultant on a Habitat for Humanity project in Washington, DC. At a time when the Passive House Standard was relatively new in the U.S., Habitat formed a team to apply these principles to a multi-family affordable housing project in the neighborhood of Ivy City.
